AhlulBayt News Agency - International Conference on Islamic Media kicked off this morning in Jakarta of Indonesia to address the issue of Palestine and liberation of Quds.
Hosting many media representatives and experts from the US, Australia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, the UK, Nigeria and etc., the event started to work with opening remarks, Quran's recitation by Imam Sulaiman and the welcome address of Imaamul Muslimin Drs. Yakhsyallah Mansur on Tuesday morning.
During his welcome address, Yakhsyallah Mansur thanked the Indonesian government and the participating media, and invited the Muslim world to unity. "The conference aims to awaken the Islamic world media over their actual duties and roles," he noted.
"We must highly regard our commonalities to solve the problems between our nations by consultations and dialogue," Yakhsyallah Mansur underlined.
The first day of the conference on May 25, started with an opening ceremony and three panel sessions on the Islamic media role in the Muslim world crisis and the global crisis, the support of Islamic media for defending the interests of Islam and Muslims, especially Palestine and Al Quds, and creating ideas for the cooperation between Islamic media, respectively.
