AhlulBayt News Agency - Donald Trump Saturday tweeted that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's foreign policy ideas led to the rise of the Islamic State in Syria, Iraq and Libya.
"Crooked Hillary Clintons [sic] foreign interventions unleashed ISIS in Syria, Iraq, and Libya," Trump tweeted. "She is reckless and dangerous!"
Trump's tweet seems in part a riposte to the Clinton campaign's recent efforts to appeal to voters' concerns about Trump by portraying him as dangerous and reckless.
"I know how hard this job is, and I know that we need steadiness as well as strength and smarts in it, and I have concluded he is not qualified to be president of the United States," Clinton said this week.
As secretary of state, Clinton pushed aggressively within the Obama administration for the United States to back the effort to topple former Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, which some blame for allowing the rise of extremism within the North African country.
