Sayyed Nasrallah: Resistance forces will sacrifice their lives in fight against Zionist regime and terrorism

The leader of Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has praised the role of martyrs in the battle against the “Zionist regime and terrorism.”

AhlulBayt News Agency - Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah commended Iran’s policy in fighting terrorism and its efforts in reaching a political solution to regional crises during a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, in Beirut on Sunday.

Sayyed Nasrallah conferred with Abdollahian over the latest regional developments, particularly in Syria, Palestine and Lebanon. “The sides which pursue their objectives through military and security means as well as instrumental use of terrorism are the cause of instability and spread of terrorism in the region,” His eminence said.

Amir Abdollahian paid condolences to Sayyed Nasrallah over the martyrdom of Hezbollah commander Mustafa Badreddine near Damascus military airport in Southern Syria.

“Had the resistance forces not sacrificed their lives in the fight against the Zionist regime and terrorism, there would have been no security left in the region,” Sayyed Nasrallah said.

Hezbollah S.G. blasted certain states for sowing discord among Muslims, and underscored the necessity for the Muslim world to keep vigilant against the Israeli moves.

He further linked Takfiri terrorists’ attacks in Syria and Iraq and their efforts in spreading insecurity to other Muslim countries in the region to the ‘ambitious policies of the illegitimate Zionist regime’ and its supporters.

The Iranian diplomat took part in a special ceremony held by Hezbollah in commemoration of martyred Mustafa Badreddine. Amir Abdollahian further met with the family of the martyr, and expressed his condolences and sympathy on behalf of Iranian officials and the nation.

Accompanied by a political and security delegation, Amir Abdollahian arrived in Beirut Friday night. He left Beirut for Tehran early Sunday.

In the same context, Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani sent a message to Hezbollah to extend his condolences on the martyrdom of Sayyed Mustafa Badreddine.

“Defending Lebanon’s territorial integrity and resistance is a strategic job for Hezbollah and Shiite people of Lebanon and martyrdom of each of its commanders and soldiers by state terrorism of Israel will make the people more determined to fight Israel,” Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani said in the message.

On Saturday, the resistance movement said that Badreddine had been killed by Takfiri terrorist groups in Syria, adding his death would boost the movement's resolve to fight the extremist militants.

Hezbollah fighters are combating alongside the Syrian forces against a range of terrorist groups operating in the war-ravaged Arab country, including Daesh and the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front.

Meanwhile, in a message to an international conference held in Tehran on the 68th anniversary of Palestine’s Nakba Day, Nasrallah stressed that the Tel Aviv regime is still the main threat to the region and the Muslim world.

“Certain people feel that Israel is merely a threat to the Palestinians and poses no danger to other governments and nations,” he said, adding, that they were wrong. “All of us should strive to say to the nations that Israel, its goals and threats are still a danger."

On Sunday, thousands took part in rallies in the besieged Gaza Strip to commemorate the Nakba, or 'catastrophe', which is the day Palestinians mark the loss of their homes in the 1948 war that resulted in the creation of Israel and the flight of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
