Tunisia Plans to Publish Quran in Braille

Tunisia's Ministry of Religious Affairs plans to publish some copies of the Holy Quran in braille.

AhlulBayt News Agency - Tunisia's Ministry of Religious Affairs plans to publish some copies of the Holy Quran in braille.

According to jawharafm website, it will be done in cooperation with the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex in the holy city of Medina.

Muhammad Khalil, Tunisia's minister of religious affairs, who has travelled to Medenine Governorate of the country, said that the ministry has discussed the plan with the printing complex.

He said it is aimed at meeting the needs of the visually impaired to the Divine Book.

In his meeting with directors of religious institutes and custodians of mosques in the region, he said that the ministry also decided to assign experts in sign language who will translate the sermons of the Friday prayers in every governorate.

The minister stressed that the renovation of Grand mosques, revival of traditional Quran teaching centers and supporting the youth are among the other programs of the ministry.
