AhlulBayt News Agency - Bahrain's First High Criminal Court, at the request of the Public Prosecution, turned the trial hearing of the "Bahrain ISIS" cell members into a confidential one on Wednesday (March 23, 2016), during which the last two witnesses (policemen) gave their testimonies.
24 suspects between the ages of 16 and 42 are being prosecuted in this case, including the ISIS preacher Turki Al-Binali (located outside Bahrain), his three brothers and a teacher, over charges of joining the terrorist organization.
The court, presided over by judge Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa with the memberships of judges Diaa Al-Huraidi and Isma Eldeen Mohammad Khalil and Naji Abdullah as secretariat, decided to adjourn the case until April 18, 2016.
During the hearing, 8 defendants stood before the court and when the court committee attended, the judge announced that upon the request of the prosecution, the hearing will be held behind closed doors, and thus all newspaper editors left the courtroom.
