President Rouhani: Iranian nation averse to tension, confrontation, extremism

President Rouhani said that the Iranian nation loathes tension, confrontation and extremism.

“Year 1395 will be the year of extensive effort for Iran’s further development and prosperity,” said President Rouhani speaking to reporters after the last cabinet session in the current Iranian year.

The final cabinet session was held on Wednesday, presided by Dr Rouhani in which he said: “During the current year, we witnessed God’s ample blessings and Iranian nation’s pride in JCPOA and end of sanctions; the same year witnessed people’s massive turnout to mark an epic day in Feb. 26”.

He also underlined visiting relatives in spring as a religious issue and said: “Spring should be the day of reconciliation, sincerity and intimacy between all groups and parties”.

Reiterating the next year will be a better year for Iran, Rouhani continued: “We start a spring in 1395 in which our banks are no more under sanctions and we can have business with an array of countries”.

“Today the world has believed in Iran’s constructive interaction with Iran and we will continue this constructive interaction with the world,” continued Rouhani mentioning recognition of Iran’s nuclear rights.

He also said that the Iranian nation loathes tension, confrontation and extremism, saying: “We hope to witness brotherhood, sincerity, intimacy and development in the region”.

On Iran’s missile capabilities, he said that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s missile capability is merely for defending the country and we do not seek to invade any country, especially our neighbours.

“We have prepared ourselves to develop our ties and have better relations with other countries” added Dr Rouhani.

He also said: “We are going to have different conditions next year and the government will keep on its economic plans for reducing inflation”.

President Rouhani also emphasized educating children to respect and protect the environment and learn the culture of the country.

He advised everyone to abide by the safety regulations on the roads and said: “All bodies are ready to provide services to New Year travellers”.

The President wished a happy Nowruz for the Iranian nation, neighbouring countries and Muslims.
