AhlulBayt News Agency - The gathering of officials of Quranic radios from different Muslim countries concluded in Morocco’s capital of Rabat on Tuesday.
The participants underlined the need for activating Quranic radios’ role in strengthening unity among Muslims and combating sectarian prejudices, IINA reported.
They also called for more attention to memorization and interpretation of the Quran in Quranic radios programs.
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) organized the conference in cooperation with the Union of Islamic Radios on Monday and Tuesday, March 14-15.
It was aimed at discussing ways to strengthen the role of Islamic radios in combating radicalism and extremis and developing the culture of dialogue, moderation and tolerance, an ISESCO statement said.
The gathering also sought to introduce a comprehensive plan for activities of the Muslim world’s radio stations.
Officials and representatives of Quranic Radios from countries like Sudan, Qatar, Oman, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Palestine, Chad, Gabon and Mauritania attended the conference.
