Commemoration Ceremony of Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi held in Tanzania

On the occasion of the demise of Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi, Astan Quds Razavi’s deceased custodian, a commemoration ceremony was held by the Tanzania’s Muslims.

On the occasion of the demise of Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi, Astan Quds Razavi’s deceased custodian, a commemoration ceremony was held by the Tanzania’s Muslims.

In this ceremony which was held at the Great mosque of Shiites in Dar al-Salam, a large number of Shias and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) were present. This group of Shiite Muslims recited holy Qur’an and dedicated its reward to the soul of the industrious scholar and servant of the eighth Imam (A.S.), Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi.

This ceremony in which a video clip of Ayatollah Tabasi’s services and Imam Reza (A.S.) special prayer (Salawat) was played, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Bagheri lectured on the political, scientific, and managerial status of late Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi.

He stated, “Having deep knowledge and piety, Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi was one of the most effective companions of Imam Khomeini (R.A.). Also he was always a companion for the Supreme Leader and a defender of the Islamic Revolution”.

Bagheri added, “Before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi, alongside with Ayatollah Khamenei and other revolutionary figures, tolerated pain, torture, and affliction and sacrificed himself for the victory of the Islamic movement. After the Islamic Revolution came into victory, Ayatollah Tabasi accepted hard responsibilities particularly representing Wali Faqih, management of seminary and custodianship of Astan Quds Razavi. Naming some of his services in the seminary of Khorasan and also Astan Quds Razavi, he introduced Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi as a sample of successful manager”.

It is reminded that this ceremony holding of which suggested and cooperated by Islamic Republic of Iran’s cultural center had a very special impact on the Tanzanian Muslims particularly its young generation.
