India - AhlulBayt News Agency - Jamaat-e-Islami Hind State vice-president Mohammed Rafi released the Telugu version of Quran at press club here on Tuesday.
Addressing the media later, he said the Quran had not gained prominence in Telugu States due to its print in Arabic.
The holy book that advocates universal brotherhood and prosperity of all also guides people on how to tend children and the old in their ripe age.
It also suggests solutions to corruption and irregularities and how to assist those in distress, he said.
Stating that his organisation has been conducting several programmes for Hindu-Muslim unity in the country, he said similar programmes would also be organised in the district.
The organisation’s representatives Md. Rehmatullah, Habib, Vizianagaram municipal co-option member Shabir were present.
