Reading holy Quran in Spanish unveiled in Qom

The book’s unveiling ceremony was held at the university’s central office in the holy city of Qom yesterday morning. A large number of Spanish-speaking Muslims live in different parts of the world today. In Spain alone, there are some 1.6 million Muslims.

AhlulBayt News Agency - A book in Spanish on how to read the Quran was unveiled in a ceremony on Saturday in Qom. It explains in Spanish the basics principles of reading the Holy Quran.

Titled Manual de lectura del Corán, the book has been written based on the Spanish linguistics and phonology. It was published by the Andishe Sharq Cultural-Arts Institute in cooperation with Al-Mustafa International University.

With the growing number of Muslims who speak Spanish, there is need for more books on Islam in this language, which has the fourth-largest number of speakers in the world.
