Treasonous Collaboration of Syrian Opposition with Tel Aviv

For 68 years, the Arab and Islamic worlds have taken an anti-Israeli stance considering its illegitimate occupation of Palestine. The Arab-Israeli conflict had always been marked with resilience until some Arab regimes began dealing with Tel Aviv on the sly to fulfil geopolitical aims.

AhlulBayt News Agency - For 68 years, the Arab and Islamic worlds have taken an anti-Israeli stance considering its illegitimate occupation of Palestine. The Arab-Israeli conflict had always been marked with resilience until some Arab regimes began dealing with Tel Aviv on the sly to fulfil geopolitical aims.

When the war in Syria broke out, the armed opposition claimed that it was seeking freedom from President Bashar Assad’s rule only to transform the country into the battlefield of regional and international players. Logically, if this were the real motive behind the bloodshed that has been ongoing since 2011, this would mean that the opposition would have first confronted the force occupying Syrian land.

Instead, the Syrian opposition has asked Israeli help in the past few years in its bid to remove the government. This is considered to be an act of hypocrisy because Israelis have killed tens of thousands of Arabs and have carried out acts of aggression against Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria. To ask for their help would be like asking Satan for getting out of hell. Aside from the fact that the Israeli regime remains an occupying entity in the region, it is also the reason havoc has been wrought upon Syria.

In recent days, Deputy Regional Cooperation Minister Ayoub Kara met with Syrian opposition leader Kamal al-Labwani in the Knesset. Labwani, who has maintained close links with Washington in addition to the strategic representatives in Tel Aviv, presented the Israeli regime with a map of protected regions within Syria, including the Druze enclave.

He asked the Israelis to facilitate aid delivery through the Quneitra border crossing to these areas, and requested that field hospitals be established there to provide medical care for injured militants, instead of evacuating them into the occupied territories like before.

The audacity to seek assistance from the Israeli regime means one thing and that is that both are both working for the same goal. Israel has previously provided medical care for al-Nusra Front terrorists fighting against Assad near the Golan Heights. And it is well known that the Israeli regime does nothing free-of-charge.

Furthermore, Israeli officials have been calling for the partition of Syria among its sects. Ram Ben-Barak, the director general of Israel's Intelligence Ministry, said the proposed division was “the only possible solution” to the conflict in Syria. Just like every other move recently made against Damascus, this is another bid to undermine the resistance axis which has maintained a united front against the Zionist regime.

Having failed to do so from the outside, Israeli authorities chose to recruit or rather create the Takfiri force inside Syria to see it collapse from within and strike the link that ties the resistance. However, this is another attempt that looks set to fail.

If the armed Syrian opposition has provided any map for the Israelis, it is that of treason as it has led to the destruction of its country and the deaths of its people by executing foreign agendas in its homeland.
