Ali Rashid, an official with the association who has recently traveled to Cambodia, said the students will also learn Arabic language, religious injunctions and memorization of Quran.

"We Enliven Their Hearts with Quran” is the title of the Quranic plan to be implemented in Cambodia for three years, he added.

Al-Rashid added that the association aims to promote the students’ skills though encouraging them to play influential roles in the development of their society, strengthen the human power of the country and train skilled and knowledgeable preachers, imams and teachers.

He stressed that the plan will also result in dissemination of Islamic culture in the country and establishment of the Islamic principles and teachings in the hearts of the people through promoting brotherhood and cooperation among Muslim and non-Muslim Cambodians.
