Astan Qods Razavi Museum, Symbol of Iran’s Rich Culture, History

On the sideline of his visitation from the museums of Astan Quds Razavi, senior representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) said, “This complex represents of Iranian rich culture and history”.

Kohei Sato who was experiencing his first trip to the Razavi Holy Shrine recognized his visitation from the courtyards, porticos and the architecture of the Razavi Shrine’s walls as interesting and said, “I have visited many holy and religious places in different countries, but the glory and grandeur of this complex is really remarkable”.

Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) introduced the history museum of the Razavi Holy Shrine and the holy city of Mashhad as attractive and stated, “Some of the existing objects of this museum such as doors and old chambers (Zarih) are 700-year-old and this fact reveals the skill and art of Iranians in creating such kinds of works”.

“Some post-Islam prominent figures in the areas of mathematics and astronomy have been introduced in a section of this museum and also some amazing clocks presented by Japanese people have been put into display at the specific section of antique clocks”, he added.

Referring to the existence of exquisite and unique objects kept at the museums of Astan Quds Razavi, Kohei Sato stressed, “This holy organization has carefully and nicely kept the most exquisite and rarest objects in a beautiful place. Also, its keeping of the objects is purposeful and it has been successful to put the entire objects into display in a very beautiful way”.

Kohei Sato also added, “I had a very nice feeling when I got into this sacred place” He also said, “I became very much surprised when I see these people’s great respect for their religion”.

It is worth mentioning that the senior representative of JICA also visited the treasuries of seashells and aquatic animals, gallery of visual arts, cold and fire weapons, astronomical instruments and watches, medals and coins, dishes, stamps, and banknotes.
