AhlulBayt News Agency - The Bahrain Human Rights Society (BHRS) stated that Bahraini authorities arbitrarily arrested 20 citizens and launched 16 house raids during fourth week of december 2015.
In a statement, BHRS said that the raids it documented took place in "A'ali, Al-Bilad Al-Qadeem, Al-Malikiya, Hamad City, Karzakan, Karbabad, Al-Nabih Saleh, Al-Maameer, Jedhafs, Saar, Salmabad, Al-Diah, and Al-Ekr."
BHRS further stated that 30 peaceful demonstrations were held in the areas of "Al-Musala, Abu Siba'/Al-Shakhoura, Al-Diah, Al-Maameer, Al-Malikiya, Nuwaidrat, Bouri, Bani Jamra, Moqaba, Karzakan, Sitra, Al-Dair, Al-Bilad Al-Qadeem, Saar, Al-Diraz, A'ali, Toubli, Al-Markh, and Damestan."
"Citizens also held 10 solidarity rallies in A'ali, Bani Jamra, Southern Al-Sahla, Al-Zinj, Nuwaidrat, Sadad, Al-Diah, Al-Diraz, Al-Maqsha' and Karana," it added, pointing out that "Nuwaidrat, Sitra and Bouri" were subjected to collective punishment more than three times by security forces, using tear gas, shotgun pellets, and sound grenades.
BHRS concluded its statement by saying that two citizens were injured in Abu Siba' during their participation in protests.
