Following the execution of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh al-Nimr, Michigan Islamic House of Wisdom released a message of condemnation.

Never think that those who are killed in God's cause as dead. They are alive with their Lord and receive sustenance from Him. " (3:169)
We just heard that the corrupt kingdom of Saudi Arabia has executed a great man of knowledge, peace and dialogue, a Shia Muslim cleric sheikh Nimr Baqer al-Nimr.
Our condolences to the honorable family of the sheikh and to every family of faith, freedom and justice in the world.
Finally the founders of Al-Qaeda and Isis who are not satisfied with their horrible crimes of their insane terrorists in the region and world, have used the same Isis tactics to scare the people and silence the voices of freedom, dignity and democracy in the region.
The execution of Sheikh Nimr was the execution of a great voice of rationality, righteousness and responsibility.
The evil murderers of Saudi kingdom started this New Year with one of their worst crimes in their history of insanity, barbarianism, bloodshed and crimes against humanity.
All of those who care for human rights, freedom of expression, democracy and rule of law must stand up and ask the international courts of justice to bring the Saudi rulers to justice for their war crimes in Yemen, for financing and ideologically inspiring terrorism through their Takfiri schools (madrasas) in the world and for execution of peaceful religious leaders like Sheikh Nimr. I doubt our governmental officials who didn't react to Saudi Royal family even after 9-11 terrorist attack would do too much about this tragedy either.
The Muslim community in Dearborn area will attend a peaceful rally this afternoon to condemn the Saudi regime's hatred, hypocrisy and bloodshed against the innocent civilians and especially the execution of a man of peace, justice and freedom Sheikh Nimr.
The Sheikh Nimr's name as a martyr of freedom will shine forever. The criminal killers of monarchy of mischief and murder will be condemned, cursed and embarrassed forever.
