Sheikh Isa Qassim a good model for religious students: Head of Al-Mostafa University

Ahlul Bayt News Agency -ABNA- Speaking as the second speaker of the Honoring Congress of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Ahmed Qassim, Hojjatolislam A'rafi, the Head of Al-Mostafa University, referred to the spiritual characteristic of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim and said: "His high moral value is one of the most important aspects of Sheikh Isa character. His humility, kindness and friendship with the younger generation, forms part of moral virtues of this great man and could be a good model for scholars and students."

"As a second aspect of his character I should refer to his specialist knowledge of 'interpretation' and 'jurisprudence'. He was educated in Najaf seminary and also had extra-jurisprudence courses in Qom," A'rafi added.

At the end of his speech A'rafi also referred to the 'missionary work' and 'political activities' of Sheikh Isa Qassim and said: "whole of these aspects has made of him an important figure who now can lead people alongside other Bahraini scholars."

The congress of honoring Sheikh Isa Qassim is being held on the sideline of the Islamic Unity Conference which annually holds during Islamic Unity week and birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Ahmed Qassim is Bahrain’s leading Shia cleric and a politician and leader of Al Wefaq, Bahrain's biggest opposition society.
