Roman Catholic Bishop urges President Buhari to announce National Day of Mourning for those killed in Zaria carnage

“There is no way the president would not be held responsible because the buck stops at his table,” the bishop stated.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency - Matthew Kukah, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, in the interview granted to the Punch, has shared his views on what is the best solution in Biafra crisis and national mourning day for Zaria Shiites killed by Army.

The catholic bishop touched upon the bloodbath in Zaria of Shiites. The prominent cleric Kukah asked President Muhammadu Buhari to announce a national day of mourning in honor of those who were killed.

“As far as I am concerned, the Zaria killing is a national disaster. I expected the President to have declared a national mourning, especially because of the number of people that lost their lives.

“There is no way the president would not be held responsible because the buck stops at his table,” the bishop stated.
