Ahlul Bayt News Agency - Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Ridhwan Sulaiman Adamu has described Sheikh Zakzaky as a symbol of unity and peaceful co-existence in Nigeria in view of his peace stance in all issues affecting people in the country without religious bias.
The traditional ruler made the statement through a powerful delegation led by Galajen Bauchi, Alhaji Adamu Abba, on a courtesy visit at the Sheikh’s residence in Gyellesu, Zaria on 19 January 2015.
Alhaji Adamu Abba said, they were sent by the Emir to pay homage to Sheikh Zakzaky and condole him over the brutal murder of his three son and 31 others by the Nigerian military on Quds day.
“On behalf of the Bauchi Emirate Council, we extend our condolence to Malam Zakzaky and his students. We also express our displeasure and condemnation of the unfortunate event on Quds Day. Though we mourn their departure, but Allah loves them most. We pray Allah to accept them as martyrs”, said the Emir’s representative.
Alhaji Adamu Abba further said, the Emir has expressed appreciation and satisfaction with the peaceful stance of Sheikh Zakzaky and the manner he embarks on unification of both segments of Muslims and Christians without bias. “His Royal Highness urge you to continue the good work, that victory is near, Insha Allah”, he added.
He also said, the Emir also expressed appreciation with the peaceful conduct of his students in Bauchi. “His Royal Highness asked me inform you that he has no problem whatsoever with your students in Bauchi, that he commend the manner at which they enlighten the people of Bauchi about Islam”, he told Sheikh Zakzaky
Responding, Sheikh Zakzaky thanked Bauchi Emirate Council for extending arm of friendship to the Islamic Movement, which he said will go a long way cementing the existing cordial relationship.
He presented to the delegation with copies of Al-Mizan the Movement’s Hausa weekly publication and a compendium publication on Quds Day atrocity, as well as other related video and audio and souvenirs.
In an interview with pressmen after the visit, leader of the delegation Alhaji Adamu Abba expressed happiness with the warm reception by Sheikh Zakzaky.
He said, the Emir had wanted to be physically present, but was tied to an unforeseen schedule.
It would be recalled that, students of Sheikh Zakzaky had visited the Emir to over the unfortunate and mysterious fire incident in the Bauchi central market, having made similar visit to victims of the fire incident and traders who lost their property.
