He further thanked the pilgrims for not carrying the pictures of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution which the Ayatollah had demanded earlier.
He said pilgrims should act according to the guidelines of Ayatollah Khamenei who has asked them not to carry his pictures but instead the portraits of those Iraqis who attained martyrdom in fight against the terrorist Daesh.
The official also called on the Iranian pilgrims to respect the efforts of the Iraqi officials to create a secure and hospitable environment for the pilgrims.
Hundreds of thousands of Iranians are heading for Iraq to take part in the rituals held there on the occasion of the Arbaeen which marks the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shiite Imam Hussein (AS).
Commander of Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan had already told reporters that there is no room for concern over security issues for Arbaeen pilgrims on December 2 this year.
Pourdastan said all movements will be observed and detected by forces of Army, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Police, which are ready to bring security to Arbaeen pilgrims.
The Arbaeen mourning ceremony is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
