Ahlul Bayt News Agency - The President of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR), Nabeel Rajab, called on the Bahraini authorities to release the detained opposition leader Abduljalil Al-Singace and his brother Abdulali Al-Singace, so that they would be able to attend their mother's funeral, who passed away on Thursday (October 29, 2015).
Rajab stressed that the worst moments he experienced and shall never forget were inside prison when he lost his mother and was deprived of attending her funeral, adding that "this act reflected all the authorities' oppression, tyranny, hatred and revenge against me due to my support of human rights."
"Whenever I hear about a similar tragedy that befell a friend, I feel the sorrow and pain that I felt again and now this is the sorrow I am feeling after I heard about the death of the human rights defender Dr. Abduljalil Al-Singace and his brother activist Abdulali Al-Singance," said Rajab.
"All I wish and call for is allowing them to attend the funeral ceremonies with their family members who all suffered from repression for defending the freedom of Bahraini people and their human rights," he further stated.
Rajab posted a picture of him with the prominent activist Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja as they were helping the late mother of Al-Singace after an attack on a rally in which she participated to protest the arrest of Al-Singace at Bahrain airport after his return from outside Bahrain.
