Earlier this month, an Iranian expert of Russian cultural affairs described the Quran translation by Nuri Muhammad Othmanov as the best rendering of the Holy Book into the Russian language.
Parviz Qassemi said Othmanov made extensive efforts to use the most precise equivalents for Quranic terms in his translation, which was released in 1995.
