An Algerian footballer on Tuesday evening expressed solidarity with the murdered Palestinian toddler Ali Dawabsha during a Tunisian cup competition in the North African country, media reports said.
Baghdad Bounedjah, who plays for Tunisian football club Etoile Sportive du Sahel, surprised fans in the stadium after scoring his team's winning goal in the 65th minute, running towards fans and lifting up his outer shirt to reveal a t-shirt with the image of Ali Dawabsha next to a Palestinian flag.
Ali Saad Dawabsha, only 18 months old, was burnt to death when Israeli settlers firebombed the family's home in the occupied West Bank on Friday last week.
