Ahlul Bayt News Agency - The 8th International Congress of World Muslim Medics kicked off in holy city of Mashhad, Iran today 30th July 2015. The Governor of Khorasan Razavi, 'Alireza Rashidiyan' was the first speaker at the opening ceremony.
Alireza Rashidian welcomed the guests of the congress and said: "Khorasan was always the cradle of the great scientists of the Islamic world and historically offered valuable services to Islam . It is the land of great scholars like Avicenna, Al-Farabi and Khayyam".
Governor of Khorasan Razavi added, now thanks to the Astan Quds Razavi, many scientists are working in different scientific disciplines, it is while we can see remarkable advances in medical science until now many neighboring and far countries come here for their therapeutic activities.
Rashidian hopes the guests of the congress benefits from the scientific and spiritual opportunities in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly in collaboration with some academic, cultural and religious institutions held the 8th International Congress of Muslim Medics in Iran's different cities.
In this congress 300 Shiite doctors from around the world will participate in the scientific meetings, workshops, pilgrimage and cultural programs.
Imamia Medics International, the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Astan Quds Razavi, Municipality of Mashhad and the Governor of Fars province are helping the Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly for holding this congress.
