The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Monday that he briefed Ayatollah al-Sayed Ali al-Sistani on the nuclear deal, which was signed by Iran with the Western countries, while renewed his country's support for Iraq in its war against ISIS terrorists and called for the need of coordination between countries in the region in fighting terrorism.
Zarif visited al-Sistani earlier today at his home in a tour conducted to meet the four Marjiyaas in Najaf.
Zarif said at a news conference after his meeting with al-Sistani in the holy city of Najaf, we confirmed to the Ayatollah standing with the Iraqi people and government in addressing terrorism.
He added that "extremism and sectarianism represent a threat to us as nations and peoples in the region , there must be coordination among countries to unite to facing the serious challenges that beset the region."
Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived on Sunday evening to Najaf city in Iraq.
