In the series of lectures outlined to be presented the Imam Week, Malam Abubakar Abdullahi Sokoto and Shaikh Muktar Sahabi Kaduna on the first day delivered a comprehensive lecture on 'Lessons derived from the struggle of Imam Khomeini and the renown Islamic revivalist in Africa Shehu Usman bn Fodiyo'.
The programme took place at Husaniyyah Baqiyyatullah in Zaria.
Malam Abubakar Abdulahi Sokoto made emphasis on how Imam Khomeini faced a lot of obstacles in the course of his struggle both internally and externally. He also point out that f
acing obstacle and threats in the course of Allah is a tradition in which all prophets of Allah faced.
He brought out vital points that linked the struggle of Shehu bn Fodiyo and Imam Khomeini.
Malam Abubakar Abdullahi urged all believers to abide by the teachings of Imam Khomeini and Shehu bn Fodiyo because it is the real teaching of the Noble Prophet of Islam Muhammad (S).
According to him, Africans have no excuse not to follow the exemplary and just leadership of Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H), describing Shaikh Zakzaky and his call as the ultimate guide to success here in this world and in the next world.
He further said Shaikh Zakzaky faced a lot of threats and he is still facing from enemies of ALLAH, whom he also described as enemies of peace and humanity.
The scholar then called on all and sundry to support the cause of Shaikh Zakzaky, adding that support to this noble cause is support to the cause of Allah that attracts reward beyond imagination in the Sight of Allah.
In his lecture, Malam Muktar Sahabi gave some analysis on what true leadership entails, and described Shaikh Zakzaky as the true son of Imam Khomeni in all aspects
He also described Shaikh Zakzaky as the only hope for this Century, in view of his exemplary leadership and call, typical of Imam Khomeini and Shehu Dan Fodiyo.
2nd day: Dr Isa speaks on 'Change : Quests for Mahadism , prerequisites and youths’
On Monday the 1st of June, 2015 Dr Isa Hasan Mshelgaru of Ahmadullahi University Zaria (ABU) spoke on 'Change: Quests for Mahadism, prerequisites and youths’.
In his speech, he gave a very good introduction of the topic and a good definition of Change and Mahadism as well as the role of youths. He said there are different kind of change; and asked as to which of the changes the Ummah need. He further said that change can be rapid or gradual. He explained in detail that Mahadism Change is rapid, continues and creational. Dr Isa gave an insight of the Revolution of Imam Khomeini and the present struggle of Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H).
He gave a comprehensive explanation about Imam Mahadi(a.s) and who Imam Mahdi is to mankind, and he further said that any activist who is looking for change is calling for Mahadism.
Professor Shehu Ahmad Maigandi who served as the chairman of the occasion said more light and encourage the participants and Muslims to make good use of their time towards looking for change in accordance with the teaching of Imam Mahadi (A).
Malam Abubakar Abdullahi Sokoto also said that people in Nigeria or Africa are lucky to have Shaikh Zakzaky (H) through whom they are able to understand better the concept of change and Mahadism.
In the second session of the programme, Malam Kabir Alkanawy gave a lecture on the ‘life of Imam Khomeini (Q.S)’. He gave a comprehensive explanation on who Imam Khomeini is, his life , his dedication , his sacrifices , his knowledge and many aspects about the life of Imam Khomeini (Q.S). Malama Maryam Sani who served as the Chair lady on the session gave a good digest on how Imam was so kind and lovely to his family and how he respected good people from all works of life .
After the second session the third was Nahjul Balagha by leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Shaikh Zakzkay (H).
