Ahlul Bayt News Agency - The Bahraini regime courts have issued a death sentence against a Bahraini national with a case of political background, on Wednesday. Another 7 were sentenced to life in prison while 4 were handed 10 year sentences, also, with cases of political backgrounds. The courts revoked citizenships of 12 defendants.
The harsh sentences came in conjunction with an acquittal of a security officer from the deliberate killing of the martyr Fadhil Abbas who was shot with live ammunition some two years ago.
Tuesday also saw harsh and lengthy sentences as the courts passed down 15 year sentences to 3 defendants and revoked their nationalities.
The Bahraini judicial system has been widely criticized by international rights organizations for being a “system of injustice”.
