Ahlul Bayt News Agency - Abdullah al-Binali, the brother of ISIL ideologist Turki al-Binali, was arrested at Manama International Airport in the Bahraini capital on Saturday as he was escaping to Oman with a fake passport.
Mobarak al-Binali, father of Turki and Abdullah, wrote on his Twitter account that his son has been arrested.
Turki al-Binali used to preach in the Bahraini mosques before the formation of the US-led anti-ISIL coalition. The ISIL preachers used to collect cash to help the terrorist group by justifying ISIL's bloody rampage in the region.
Turki Al-Binali comes from a Bahraini descent and rose to a well-known figure in the tiny Persian Gulf's Salafi movement due to his theories.
He studied for some time at Dubai’s Islamic and Arabic Studies College but was deported from the Arab country because of his ideology, according to a biography written by an Austrian ISIL member Mohammed Mahmoud.
Al-Binali continued his studies at Islamic universities in Bahrain and Beirut before traveling to Syria in 2014 and joining the ISIL, according Salafi websites.
