The Rediculous Remarks of an Egyptian Leader on Shiite Beliefs

A religious leader in Egypt in ridiculous remarks has claimed that Shiite Muslims do not say Friday Prayers or Congregational Prayers.

According to Ahlul Bait News Agency - ABNA – Sheikh “ Sabri Ibadah” Egyptian Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs in an interview with an Egyptian TV Chanel, in strange statements suggesting his depth of ignorance of Shiite beliefs, has claimed that Shiite Muslims belief that Imam Ali (AS) and Holy Prophet Muhammad share the Prophethood.

Following his ridiculous remarks he has said that Shiite Muslims do not have such thing as Friday Prayers or congregational prayers for they await their Imam Mahdi (AS).

He then claimed that Shiite Muslims do not follow Islamic doctrines.

In the past years with the rising influence of Wahabisim in Egypt, every once in a while such anti-Shiite remarks are stated by religious leaders of Egypt which arouse the reaction of Muslim community, both Shiite and Sunni.
