The birthday anniversary of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (S) is celebrated every year at a number of mosques in Beijing, capital of China.
According to Beijing Icro, it is a tradition in China to celebrate a day in the name of Sayyida Fatima (S).
This year’s ceremonies on the auspicious occasion were organized at Sanlihe Mosque and Dongzhimen Mosque, respectively on March 27 and April 3.
The program at Sanlihe Mosque began with reading of 18 Surahs of the Holy Quran and continued with a speech delivered by imam of the mosque.
He talked about the wrong beliefs about girls before the advent of Islam, birthday of the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the great love of the father for his daughter, their lifestyle, marriage of Sayyida Fatima (AS), etc.
The ceremony was attended by Iranian cultural attaché in Beijing and a number of Muslim figures, officials and artists.
The Iranian official gifted a copy of the Holy Quran, Nahjul Balaqa, and a special issue about Sayyida Fatima (AS) in Chinese to the imam of the mosque.
The Iranian cultural figure also attended the ceremony at Dongzhimen Mosque where “family in Islam” was the theme of the speech delivered by imam of the mosque.
