Shawki Alam, a senior Egyptian mufti, in a meeting with Mukhtar Omar Ibrahim, representative of the European Union (EU) demanded correcting the wrong image from Islam and preventing desecration of the holy religions.
He expressed concern over the tarnished image of Islam in the world and noted;" Western countries have to be introduced with the truth behind Islam and know its high principles."
Egyptian figure underlined spreading the truth of Islam across the globe saying, "Muslims in western countries have to launch Islamic communities and send their voice to the world in a bid to defend the culture and original identity of Islam."
He also urged western communities to defend Muslims and demanded the west to prevent isolation of Muslims from other people."
