The first Tafsir (interpretation) of the entire Quran in the Russian language was published in Moscow.
The 12th and last volume of the work, titled Nur-ul-Quran Fi Tafsir al-Quran, has just been completed and published for Russian speakers.
The Amir-al-Muminin Research Institute in Isfahan has published the Nur Al-Quran Exegesis in cooperation with Russia’s Islamic Studies Foundation, Saint Petersburg’s Oriental Studies Publications, and Sadra Publications, IRIB News reported.
Ayatollah Faqih Imani, founder and director of the institute, said the last volume of the exegesis features interpretation of the last part of the Quran from Surah al-Muzzammil to Surah al-Naas.
He noted that it has been printed in 448 pages.
According to Ayatollah Faqih Imani, the exegesis has previously been translated and published into several other languages including English, Azeri, French, Italian, Spanish, and Malay.
He went to say that it has been compiled using eight Shia and Sunni Quran exegeses.
