The Chairman of ACIKITA, Jumiarti Agus told, the construction of the mosque aims to improve the worship for Muslims in the region, especially for Indonesian people who live there.

“Alhamudulillah (Thank to Allah), after searching for a location for the construction of the mosque, finally we found in Kobe,” said Jumiarti.

Jumiarti also said, all administration requirements is almost complete and in March, the committee would pay all bills.

“One of the requirement to build a mosque in Japan is, we must collect at least 200 signatures,” said Jumiarti, who came from Minang, West Sumatra.

Jumiarti asserted, this is the first Indonesian mosque in Japan.

” We will keep this mosque and fill with religious activities that are useful for the Muslim community and
surrounding areas,” she said.

ACIKITA founded by a group of Indonesian people who live in Japan, The consist of students, observers and workers. ACIKITA was inagurated on October 4, 2006 in Tokyo.
