On Friday, the Liberties and Human Rights Department (LHRD) in Al Wefaq National Islamic Society confirmed that 48 citizens were injured on Friday as security forces cracked down on peaceful protests.
Meanwhile, the Bahraini regime is escalating its campaign of suppression against the people through the use of excessive force and violence. Security forces have targeted protesters with tear gas grenades and buckshot causing injuries. This practice had previously led to a number of deaths among citizens.
The LHRD documented 128 peaceful demonstrations in 46 areas across the country. It said at least 101 demonstrations were suppressed by security forces leaving a number of protesters with severe wounds. Security forces also carried out at least 20 arrests and 3 home raids.
