Two British activists have praised a message recently sent by Supreme Leader of Iran to the European and American youth urging them to develop a better understanding of Islam following recent developments in France and other places in the world.
In the message issued on January 21, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei urged the European and American youngsters not to miss the opportunity to “gain proper, correct and unbiased understanding of Islam,” now that many attempts have been made to place Islam in the seat of a horrifying enemy.
Commenting on the Leader’s message, Director of the British Institute of Islamic Strategic and Socio-Political Affairs Usama Butt told that the message was a timely move which echoed the stand of most Muslims around the globe.
Referring to Ayatollah Khamenei as the Leader of a large number of Muslims worldwide, he said the Iranian Leader elaborated prudent viewpoints in his message.
Whether West likes it or not, Butt stressed, Islam plays a major role in the present world.
Meanwhile, Saber Rezvan, a university professor and a researcher of Islam also described Ayatollah Khamenei’s message as a well-timed act.
Iran's power and influence are growing and it plays an undeniable role in regional developments, the academic told.
He added that Iran is quickly changing its status at the political arena and enjoys great influence on Iraq and Shiite community.
Referring to widespread presence of Muslims throughout Europe, Rezvan said Europe can highly benefit from Islam and Muslims as they have enormous potentials to offer to the Europeans.
