Author of the book ‘Islamism and Post-Islamism’ whose book has been released in the U.S. says: “What has happened in the world today is not transcending Islamism but the trend towards Salafi Islamism.”
Seyyed Javad Miri, the author of ‘Islamism and Post-Islamism: Reflections upon Allameh Jafari’s Political Thought’, said the book has been recently published by University Press of America in Maryland, New York and Dustin Jay Bird, an American professor, has written the foreword to this book.
Upon the publication of this book Miri explained the main theme of this book which is Islamism in the world today and the theory of transcending Islamism:
“Looking at the four great revolutions in France, Russia, China and Iran, we notice an ideology backing them each. There were scholars putting each of them into theories.”
He added: “However, the Islamic revolution has been different in this respect.” Those advocating Islamism in scientific associations were inclined towards schools like Liberalism, Communism, Maoism, and had even at times expressed anti Cosmopolitan Islamic trends. Therefore we needed to revise our views of the Islamic Revolution.”
“Ideas of Allameh Jafari, as one of the advocates of Islamic Revolution, has been considered here and I tried to investigate the main frames of his political ideas in this book,” Miri said.
