Bahrain Al Wefaq National Islamic Society outlines that the Public Prosecution Office’s statement reveals a systematic violation of due process in interrogation by publishing false testimonies of Sheikh Ali Salman, Al Wefaq’s Secretary General.

The Prosecution Office is publishing false information to mislead the public opinion.

It is shameful of the Prosecution Office to promote charges against Salman, and which he has denied to be guilty of. It is also shameful of the Prosecution Office to say it has not completed interrogations with Salman, but at the same time, publishes charges he denied.

The Prosecution Office should immediately free Sheikh Ali after he denied the charges against him. His detention violates international rights covenants.
