Al Wefaq National Islamic Society issued a statement commenting on the fabricated and false statements published by the Public Prosecution Office.
Al Wefaq said: The statement published by the Public Prosecution Office contains false information about Sheikh Ali Salman speaking of the use of military force or a potential use of force, as alleged by the intelligence.
These false allegations reveal that the malicious case against Sheikh Ali Salman is based on a big fabrication as a reprisal foe his peaceful approach for reform.
The Prosecution Office’s statement is a scandal that reveals the whole case, measures and arrest all serve the political targeting of Al Wefaq’s Secretary General, Salman.
The Public Prosecution Office in Bahrain has decided to keep Sheikh Ali Salman, Al Wefaq’s Secretary General, in detention while tens of areas across Bahrain have witnessed sporadic angry protests demanding his release.
The detention of Al Wefaq SG is a crime against this homeland. Bahrain has been witnessing nonstop protests which have been repressed with force, since his arrest on Saturday.
