Condolence message of the head of Ahlul Bait Foundation of South Africa on martyrdom of 'Sheikh Dr Abdul Kadhir Muwaya'

The head of the Ahlul Bayt Foundation of South Africa sent a condolence message on the martyrdom of top Ugandan Shiite cleric 'Sheikh Dr Abdul Kadhir Muwaya'

When a Scholar dies a void is created in Islam which shall never be filled.

It is with extreme shock and sadness that we have learnt about the murder of Dactoor Abdul Kadir Muwaya, the leader of Shia Muslims in Uganda, more specifically the Ahlul Bait Islamic Foundation in Mayuge, Uganda.

The Aalim returned home from the recital of Dua Kumayl on Thursday night 25 December 2014 where he was murdered. Though the details of the motives for this horrible crime are unclear at this stage, the loss of a leader of this stature leaves a wound in the Shia Community of Uganda that cannot be easily healed and a gap that cannot be easily filled.

He will certainly be remembered for his inspirational leadership and positive contribution to Ugandan society in the form of the legacy of Mosques that he established across the country and his emphasis on spearheading the sponsoring of the Education of under privileged children.

We extend our most sincere condolences to his family through his son Omar Bongo Muwaya and pray for his Honourable Reception in the Spiritual World by the Prophet Muhammed (sawa) and the Holy Ahlul Bait (a.s).

"Surely we come from Allah and to Him is our return".
