As thousands of Bahraini graduates remain jobless, the Ministry of Education in Bahrain is reported to have employed hundreds of foreign teachers with the beginning of a new semester. Al Wefaq National Islamic Society said this demonstrates the official discount to the university graduates who are deprived from employment for sectarian reasons.

The Authority is depriving the people of Bahrain the fundamental right to decent jobs.

Al Wefaq considers the Authority’s acts irresponsible and reflects a lack patriotic vision and makes an elected government necessary to guarantee equality and respect of citizens’ rights.

Al Wefaq stresses that such practices mount to the level of crime against the citizens and country. However, as long as the law is absent under the dictatorial rule, officials will not be held accountable as they should for excluding and marginalizing the citizens.
