The 14th of August of every year is considered a glorious national occasion. It is one of the most important national days in the history of Bahrain. On that same day, in 1971, Bahrain gained it’s independence from the mandate of the foreign protection agreement.
This day should be known to all generations. It must be included in education curricula’s. It is a national springboard which unites all Bahraini sects.
Intentionally excluding it by authorities is completely unacceptable.
The people of Bahrain have been living in hope for democracy ever since this day, from 43 years ago. Despite facing a stiff regime which refuses to recognize the rights of its people, consistently seeking to diminish their role in building their homeland which will combine all citizens, the patience and sacrifices of the people of Bahrain will one day gain them the true democracy they are seeking.
