Friday Prayers Leader: Israel Nearing "Complete Destruction"

Tehran's Provisional Friday Prayers Leader Hojjatoleslam Kazzem Seddiqi condemned Israel's ongoing attacks on the defenseless Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and said Israel is nearing its demise.

Addressing a large and fervent congregation of the people on Tehran University campus on Friday, Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi said, "Today the Iron Dome has failed and this miserable people (occupiers) are on the verge of complete destruction."

He said that those countries that created Israel are plunderers in the international arena who Okay Israel's crimes through their rights of veto in the UN.

He pointed to the massacre of Gaza people, and said, "This calamity has disheartened the humanity and the Muslim countries who claim to be defenders of Human Rights should be awakened and see that this wolf (Israel) never shows mercy."

On Thursday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in separate messages to Chairman of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation Abdolvahed Razzi and its Secretary-General Martin Chungung called for an immediate end to the brutal Israeli attacks on the people in Gaza.

In his messages, Larijani warned that continuation of the brutal siege of Gaza would lead to human catastrophe in that region and threatens the regional peace and security.

He called on the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation, the international community and other global organizations to take immediate actions to halt Tel Aviv brutal attacks on Gaza.

Israel has been pounding the blockaded Gaza for 11 consecutive days, killing at least 258 people and injuring more than 2,000 others.

According to the UN, 77% of the victims in Gaza are civilian and defenseless people.
