Boarding schools for the elderly, known as 'Pesantren Sepuh Payaman' started in 1937 by Kiai Sirajd, and specifically organized for Ramadan since 1985, in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. This boarding school runs from 1st until the 20th day of Ramadan, with about 400 students, with an average age of between 60-80 years.
