Bahrain political prisoners: the judiciary is used to cover-up on torture crimes

“The judiciary is used to cover-up on torture crimes perpetrated against at least 4000 prisoners and detainees in Bahrain “, the statement said.

Marking the International Day in Support of Torture Victims, the political prisoners in Bahrain’s Dry Dock prison issued a statement encouraging to boycott the judiciary. The prisoners said their agonies from systematic torture are burdened with harsh sentences handed down to them by the ‘injustice system’ in Bahrain.

“The judiciary is used to cover-up on torture crimes perpetrated against at least 4000 prisoners and detainees in Bahrain “, the statement said.

The Bahraini prisoners reminded that international human rights organizations and foundations concerned with victims of torture, and the testimonies of detainees, confirmed the use of systematic torture and cruel treatment to an extent which resulted in permanent deformities for many detainees in Bahrain.
