Nigeria: Shiite cleric 'Sheikh Muhammad Turi' Pays Condolence Visit to Kano Emirate

Senior Shia cleric, Shaikh Muhammad M Turi on Sunday June 8th, 2014 led a delegation on a condolence visit to the Kano emirate council over the death of emir of Kano Alh Ado Abdullahi Bayero.

The delegation was received at the palace by the families of thee deceased emir and other council members who expressed gratitude for the visit. Shaikh Muhammad Turi also extended the condolence of the leader of Shiite Islamic movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and offered prayers to the deceased.

Similar delegations of Sisters of the Islamic movement in Kano led by Malama Maimuna Abdullahi paid a similar condolence visit where they were received by the wives of the deceased emir. The sisters offered prayers for the deceased and the fortitude for the family to bear the lost.

The emir of Kano Alh Ado Abdullahi Bayero died last Friday June 5th, 2014 at the age of eighty-four, and has been the emir of Kano for the last fifty-one years.
