Smallest-Script Quran Copy Unveiled in Qom

The world's smallest script Quran copy was unveiled in a ceremony in Qom on Sunday.

The copy contains the entire Holy Quran in just two pages each measuring 12 by 16 centimeters.

The text has been written in so small a script that one needs to use a magnifier to read the verses, Raein Akbarkhanzadeh who has created the work, says.
Akbarkhanzadeh says, however, that he has inscribed the verses with naked eye without using any magnifiers, etc.
It took him 2500 hours of work to complete the rare copy

An 8-strong team of artists made the cover of the book.
A kilogram of gold, five kilograms of silver and different kinds of gemstones have been used in making the unique copy of the Holy Book.
In an address to the unveiling ceremony, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, senior Qom Seminary scholar, appreciated the work of Mr. Akbarkhanzadeh and his team, describing the effort as precious.
