As part of commemoration of birthday of Sayyidah Zahra (SA), food items worth thousands of naira were distributed free to the needy, orphanage and prison inmates by the Kaduna arm of the Sisters’ Forum, Imam Hussain (AS) unit.
The items distributed included bags of rice, groundnut oil, cartons of spaghetti, macaroni, detergents, drugs and other home utensils. Recipients of the items included individual men and women, orphanage and inmates from the Kaduna prison.
Presenting the items, Malama Ummu Kulthum said the effort was intended to alleviate the suffering of the people such as the poor, orphans and those incarcerated, as demonstrated by Sayyidah Zahra (SA) during her life time. Instant prizes were also given to those who attended the Maulud.
Speakers at the occasion were Pastor Yohannah Buru, Sayyid Khidr (from Kano) and Malam Mukhtar Sahabi.
