Bahrain: Sanabis residential area is being subjected to horrifying collective punishment and attacks

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Al Wefaq National Islamic Society made an appeal over the terrifying situation in Sanabis, west of the capital Manama, where heavily armed troops have deployed to carry out attacks and collective punishment.Civilian militias are backed by troops with armored vehicles and helicopters in the area. Citizens have been attacked amid terrorizing home raids. Some have reported hearing doors broken down and people screaming inside homes.The forces are reported to have climbed rooftops and assaulted inhabitants who have made an appeal fearing what such frightening measures may hide.The concerned rights groups following the situation in Bahrain are called on to urgently act to defend the unarmed citizens being subjected to various forms of human rights violations and organized collective punishment.The citizens in Sanabis have described the situation, which is very similar to the period of the state of security, as ” very frightening and dangerous”./149
