(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The National Democratic Opposition Forces in Bahrain register their surprise at the latest statement of the Royal Court, especially that it coincides with a harsh crackdown and the martyrdom of 3 citizens. Particularly so that it comes on the same day as the death of detainee martyr Jaffar Al-Durazi, due to medical neglect and severe torture.Added to these deaths is the rising stock of heavy political judgments, such as death penalty and lengthy prison sentences, prosecution of political leaders, dissolving of the Clerics Council, targeting religious freedoms, increasing the pace of discrimination, political naturalization and exclusion. As well as a clear increase in speeches of public figures and official institutions that incite hatred among citizens. Some MPs have spoken about confrontation and clashes in the streets in the shadow of repeated extreme calls to target political and human rights activists, with what seems to be similair to the ideology of Al-Qaeda.This escalation comes at the same time as a blind eye is turned to organizing and calling for Bahraini youth to be sent to Syria to fight alongside the Al-Qaeda affiliated plots amidst the official silence. These are all signs of a lack of seriousness in initiating a political solution and the insistence of parties in the government to thwart the Crown Prince’s initiative for dialogue. The National Democratic Opposition Forces warn that the use of violence and refusal to condemn it endangers any potential political solution. We have clearly expressed, in many occasions, and stand committed to peacefulness and non-violence, with the most recent statement being issued on February 21st 2014. We have issued two declarations; The Non-violence Declaration and the Anti-Hatred Declaration, both promoted an inclusive national program to move away from the political crisis with minimum political, economic and social losses. We have also repeated our calls for the creation of a suitable enviroment for dialogue and an easing of the political arena by the government, taking operative steps which emphasize their seriousness in the success of the dialogue.Yet, these calls have only been met with an escalation in repressive security measures. At the same time, loyalist parties have failed to take a clear position and condemn the acts of violence and extremism, and the incitement of hatred from either official parties or civilian extremists. The government is to blame for the deterioration of the political, security, human rights, economic and social situation in Bahrain. Not to mention the degradation of Bahrain’s reputation and the stalled dialogue and political solution that must include all people of Bahrain. We as the National Democratic Opposition Forces hold on to our call of making the Kingdom of Bahrain an oasis of coexistence and harmony, tolerance, equality, justice, and partnership through an inclusive national democratic system. We were, and still are, serious about providing our political practical visions to create an atmosphere for the dialogue and all the political process required visions, solutions and road-map for a better future for Bahrain. We had mentioned this in detail in our letter submitted to the Royal Court on February 4th 2014. We reaffirm our commitment to the success of the initiative of the Crown Prince, and call for immediate peace to start a dialogue in accordance with the principles clarified in the letter mentioned above. We know that any attempts to destabilise dialogue will cause further deterioration in the political, security and economic situation in Bahrain. The government alone is the one that bears full responsibility for all that may happen.National Democratic Opposition Forces- Bahrain/129
