(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - In cooperation with Iranian Cultural Center in Sierra Leone, an association of Islamic organizations was established in the African country.According to IQNA’s branch in Africa, it is the first time in the history of Sierra Leone that such an association has been established with the aim of creating unity and proximity among Islamic faiths in the region.A one-day forum on the importance of unity was organized as the first program of the association which comprises Shia and Sunni leaders of the country.The Iranian center also cooperated in holding the forum in order to promote public awareness about the harmful consequences of division among Muslims.The importance of unity among various Islamic schools of thought was stressed by representatives of Islamic organizations and eminent figures of the country.Fadhuddin Karama, head of Muslims Congress in Sierra Leone, Mohammadreza Qezelsofla, Iranian cultural attaché in the country and Sheikh Ya’qub Mustafa, secretary of the congress were among the speakers at the forum./149
