(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Quran Android is a free, open source Quran application for Android devices.
It has been developed by a group of youths from all over the world with the aim of promoting Islamic unity.
Mohammad Jafar Nanakar, director of the section for translating the software into Persian, said that the app includes different recitations of the Quran as well as more than 12 translations and interpretations.
He said there are other features such as search in verses, translations and exegeses, sharing the verses, and selecting one's favorite verses.
There are also new features under development for the application.
Nanakar said the project for producing Quran Android has been a non-profit one from which no one seeks financial gains.
According to him, the software has been downloaded more than 40 million times since its launch in Iran.
